What We Do

Mind Matter Impact is a youth and women-focused mental health initiative dedicated to ending cycles of trauma through providing trauma-informed education, workshops, and tools to create safe spaces for healing and empowerment.

What we do:

  3. Advocate for policy change and youth protection

  4. Partner with nonprofits and schools

  1. 1 in 3 women worldwide have experienced physical or sexual violence in their lifetime. (World Health Organization, 2021)

  2. Over 70% of mental health disorders begin during childhood or adolescence. (National Institute of Mental Health, 2022)

  3. Youths who receive mental health education are up to 60% less likely to develop substance abuse issues later in life. (National Institute on Drug Abuse, 2021).

  4. Only 1 in 3 youth who experience abuse ever report it or receive help. (Childhood National Child Abuse Statistics, 2023)

  5. Girls and young women between the ages of 16 and 24 experience the highest rate of intimate partner violence — almost triple the national average. (U.S. Department of Justice, 2020).
